Homebuilders, contractors of many different disciplines, handymen, installers, interior designers, kitchen and bath designers, consultants, aging in place professionals, and many others are coming to the Orange County Convention Center to see the latest in product offerings and hear about concepts, ideas, and strategies to use in meeting with their clients and offering their services to create effective solutions.
This is the most comprehensive display of kitchen and bath products available. On display – many in operation – are fixtures, appliances, cabinetry, hardware, exhaust fans, flooring, countertops, and so much more that can be used in the design and construction of new homes and in the aging in place and universal design renovation of existing homes.
With products innovations coming quite rapidly in the past few years, it’s great to have an opportunity to see many of them in person. Professionals in attendance will be able to see first-hand what will be recommended to clients and actually installed in homes over the next several months. Some of the products already have been available, but many are being introduced here.
Vendors from Canada, Europe, China, Australia, the US and other parts of the world will give the attendees an array of product alternatives that usually aren’t possible to see in a single location. In turn, they can educate their clients on solutions that exist and begin placing orders for these products. In coming months, many vignettes of these product displays will be showcased on cable home improvement shows.
Green building and energy-efficient products, ideas, and solutions have been very popular in recent years and likely will remain so at this year’s event, but the interest in universal design and aging in place means that many of the products featured will be for this market.
Products that are lighter weight in design, easier to operate than previous versions, designed for people with limited range of motion or to be used from a seated position, and many sustainable building components and accessories – in a wide range of price offerings – will be available for use in aging renovation projects.
Regardless of the geography of where a home is located, the demographics of the residents of that home, and whether that home is owner or renter-occupied, there will be products on display that can accommodate the various needs that people have for living safely in their homes – and for living there on a long-term basis if that is their desire.
This is a great event to educate aging in place and universal design professionals, designers, and contractors about what is available and to provide ideas of treatments and solutions that can be recommended and suggested to potential clients in the weeks and months following this event. Coming so early in the year, the timing is perfect – nearly the entire year remains to begin rolling out the products and ideas being showcased and highlighted at the Show.
